June 16, 2021: Whitepaper: Introduction to the specific category and the Specific OperationsRisk Assessment (SORA)
June 10th, 2021: This whitepaper gives first insights into technical details, possibilities and framework conditions of an intralogistics drone application.
May 28, 2021: Whitepaper: Legal and technical introduction to the use of drones in the indoor area
April 20, 2021: The Port of Hamburg is Europe's gateway to the world of exports and therefore a particularly critical infrastructure in Germany. More than 22,000 containers are handled here every day. In order to control the transport flows, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) relies on innovative technologies. This also includes Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) - colloquially known as drones. In an interview, Matthias Gronstedt, Managing Director of HHLA Sky GmbH, explains where and how the UAS are used.
03.03.2021: Drone Readyness Analysis shows great interest in drone applications in the industrial sector
01/21/2021: How can drones be used in intralogistics? The research project AIRKom of the Chair for Factory Automation and Production Systematics (FAPS) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg deals with this question. The project is self-financed by the Research Association for Intralogistics / Conveyor Technology and Logistics Systems (IFL) eV.
May 25th, 2021: In the private sector they established themselves a few years ago. So far, drones have not yet really gained a foothold in the industrial and logistics environment. Sure, there are already pilot projects, but the unmanned aerial vehicles are not yet really in use commercially. Maybe that will change soon.
May 14th, 2021: The Isles of Scilly are a group of 140 small islands that are located about 45 kilometers southwest of mainland England in the Atlantic. So far, the Royal Mail has been providing the people on the five inhabited islands with the mail by plane. A combined drone supply chain has now been tested in a pilot project. While a Windracer planar drone with a load capacity of up to 100 kilograms brought the shipments over the sea, distribution to the islands was carried out with smaller Skyports drones in VTOL design.
May 14th, 2021: Technical support is available for afforestation in the protective forest near Döbriach. A heavy-duty drone flies the young seedlings into the steep slopes. It should be used to facilitate work in rough terrain.
March 31, 2021: With the German Aerospace Center (DLR) laboratory opened today for the research and testing of unmanned aviation systems UAS, drone applications will come into the air from the laboratory - and make important contributions to innovative mobility solutions in the future.
March 30th, 2021: The secret "star" was a drone - or rather the image material and the data it generated. The drone was used to measure the excavation and determine the masses to be moved.
